The sixth pri­vate in­sur­ers’ sus­tain­abil­i­ty re­port sum­maris­es the most im­por­tant ad­vances made by the in­dus­try in the 2024 re­port­ing year.

The sixth sus­tain­abil­i­ty re­port for the in­sur­ance in­dus­try pro­vides in­for­ma­tion on the mea­sures tak­en by the in­dus­try in the ar­eas of en­vi­ron­men­tal, eco­nom­ic and so­cial sus­tain­abil­i­ty.

In­sur­ers are ma­jor in­sti­tu­tion­al in­vestors with a long-term in­vest­ment hori­zon and a pref­er­ence for safe­ty.

The in­sur­ance in­dus­try's fifth sus­tain­abil­i­ty re­port pro­vides in­for­ma­tion on the wide range of mea­sures tak­en by the in­dus­try in the ar­eas of en­vi­ron­men­tal, eco­nom­ic and so­cial sus­tain­abil­i­ty.

The fifth pri­vate in­sur­ers’ sus­tain­abil­i­ty re­port shines a light for the first time on the sus­tain­abil­i­ty gov­er­nance of the com­pa­nies sur­veyed and re­veals that two thirds of these in­sur­ers al­ready

The re­la­tion­ship be­tween cli­mate change and bio­di­ver­si­ty, why every com­pa­ny needs cli­mate-com­pat­i­ble strate­gies and how young em­ploy­ees can be used as a sound­ing board for sus­tain­abil­i­ty. 

The fourth sus­tain­abil­i­ty re­port of the in­sur­ance in­dus­try pro­vides in­for­ma­tion on the in­dus­try's wide-rang­ing mea­sures in the area of en­vi­ron­men­tal, fi­nan­cial and so­cial sus­tain­abil­i­ty.

In its fourth year now, the pri­vate in­sur­ers’ sus­tain­abil­i­ty re­port has demon­strat­ed that sus­tain­abil­i­ty is tak­en in­to ac­count at all stages in the val­ue chain.

The test checks the port­fo­lios of fi­nan­cial com­pa­nies for their cli­mate com­pat­i­bil­i­ty in a cur­rent po­si­tion as­sess­ment us­ing the PACTA method. The re­sults of the third edi­tion are now avail­able.
