The SIA

Our team ensures connectivity to the SIA members, its ad-hoc bodies and its external stakeholders. 

The SIA is a member and partner of various national and international associations and organisations. These excellent connections help it to represent the interests and concerns of its members.

The member companies of the SIA account for more than 85 percent of the premiums generated in the Swiss market.

With its 2025–2028 strategy, the SIA will strive to create optimal conditions for the future business activities of its members and to demonstrate the economic importance of the insurance sector.

At the ‘Insurers’ Day’ event in Bern, SIA chairman Stefan Mäder appealed for personal accountability and called on the guests from the fields of politics and administration to advocate for a market-driven framework.
