The Swiss Insurance Association (SIA) is the national organisation of the private insurance industry. Its head office is in Zurich and it employs roughly 40 people. The association has approximately 70 members, which include many specialist, national and global primary insurers and reinsurers. Private insurers employ about 50,000 people in Switzerland and they significantly contribute to the stability of the Swiss economic system. The SIA is committed to the sustainable development of the sector.
