At Build­ing Bridges, SVV part­nered with the Prin­ci­ples for Sus­tain­able In­sur­ance (PSI) to or­gan­ise a pan­el dis­cus­sion on sus­tain­abil­i­ty in un­der­writ­ing.

The del­e­gates of the Swiss In­sur­ance As­so­ci­a­tion SIA elect­ed Ste­fan Mäder, chair­man of the Board of Di­rec­tors of Mo­bil­iar, as their new chair­man at their An­nu­al Gen­er­al Meet­ing in Basel.

In its fourth year now, the pri­vate in­sur­ers’ sus­tain­abil­i­ty re­port has demon­strat­ed that sus­tain­abil­i­ty is tak­en in­to ac­count at all stages in the val­ue chain.

The Prin­ci­ples for Sus­tain­able In­sur­ance serve as a glob­al frame­work for in­sur­ers for in­te­grat­ing ESG cri­te­ria in­to their busi­ness process­es. 

Pri­vate in­sur­ers in most branch­es record­ed a mod­er­ate in­crease in pre­mi­um vol­umes in 2022, ac­cord­ing to the SIA’s pro­jec­tions.

The VBV-Ver­sicherungslexikon (VBV Dic­tio­nary of In­sur­ance) con­tains about 1’000 key in­sur­ance terms in Eng­lish, Ger­man, French and Ital­ian.

With their six in­di­ca­tors, the Swiss Cli­mate Scores cre­ate trans­paren­cy and pro­mote in­vest­ment de­ci­sions that con­tribute to achiev­ing cli­mate goals.

The test checks the port­fo­lios of fi­nan­cial com­pa­nies for their cli­mate com­pat­i­bil­i­ty in a cur­rent po­si­tion as­sess­ment us­ing the PACTA method. The re­sults of the third edi­tion are now avail­able.

The pro­por­tion of fi­nanc­ing so­lu­tions, as­sets and pre­mi­ums com­mit­ted to the net-ze­ro tar­get is in­creas­ing.
