The Swiss Insurance Association SIA has taken its Centennial Motto of «Secure the Future» as an opportunity to publish a new teaching package – and not simply use its 100th birthday to give itself another anniversary brochure.
Zurich, 15 May 2001 – Following two years of concept, design and implementation, the SIA proudly presents SchadenFreunde, an up-to-date and flexible teaching package on the world of insurance. Its content and its form were the result of ongoing cooperation between teachers, SVV specialists, the Brainstore think-tank and representatives of the target group (teenagers from across Switzerland). They were free to offer ideas, ask questions, cooperate on graphic design, create illustrations and co-author the texts
A teacher’s guide ensures that a detailed thread weaves its way through the information which is module-based. It also explains how best to employ the material in the classroom. Since the various modules have not been subjected to a chronological path, the package can be used as a whole or in parts and thus be adapted to suit the requirements of the individual teacher
Published in three languages, this interesting and entertaining teaching pack comes with workbook, CD, teacher’s guide and special boardgame. Plus, a website for web-based learning at www.schadenfreunde.ch.
