Giving his last Chairman’s address, Albert Lauper presented a fundamentally healthy private insurance industry, which can look forward to the future with confidence: «The public is growing increasingly aware that insurance is indispensable to the well-being of modern society. Not just in Switzerland but also in international circles».

Stefan Loacker, CEO of Helvetia from 1 September 2007, was elected to replace Erich Walser on the SIA Board.

Paul Müller, CEO of Swiss Life in Switzerland, was elected Head of the Life Committee by the delegates. He will succeed Josef Bättig (Zurich Switzerland).
